Application Engineer - Back-end Solutions (W/M)
Join us!
Want to be part of a product launch and leave your mark right from the start?
As an Application Engineer (W/M) – Back-End Solutions, Based in Meylan (38) – within the Test, Application & Support team, you act as the technical interface between our digital microelectronics products and our customers. You support them on their back-end challenges – from synthesis to GDSII – using industry-standard EDA tools such as Synopsys, Cadence, and Tessent.
Your role is hybrid: part technical expert, part customer facilitator, and part product contributor. You’ll be involved in both pre-sales and post-sales support, while helping optimize and automate digital flows (DFT, P&R, STA, etc.) through scripting.
As a Back-end solutions application engineer, your main missions are :
- Support customers in integrating our IPs into their digital back-end flows (synthesis, P&R, DFT, signoff).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues through the JIRA platform.
- Automate flow tasks using scripting (TCL, Python, Shell)- Write technical documentation (white papers, application notes) to share best practices.
- Represent the customer’s voice internally and contribute to enriching product specifications.
- Collaborate with EDA partners (Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens Tessent) to ensure smooth integration.
You're about to become a dolphin..
🔹 Experienced profile:
You have a background as a back-end application engineer, with experience supporting large accounts (P&R flows, DFT, timing, etc.). You're now looking for a more stable position with fewer travels, while staying in a stimulating and technical environment.
🔹 Junior profile:
You’ve completed an internship or academic training in place & route, logic design, or tool support. You’ve already explored Cadence, Synopsys or Siemens flows, and want to grow in this path.
We offer a dedicated internal training program (6 months to 1 year), to build your expertise in back-end flows and client interaction step by step.
